Certified Aircraft Dispatchers are an essential component of aviation. They are commonly hired by both corporate and major/regional airline employers.
Tuition includes materials for flight planning activities :

Full-time schedule is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, for approximately 6 weeks.
Part-time schedule available either 8:00 am to 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm for 12-weeks. Evening schedule available on request.
Instructor-led curriculum is delivered in a PowerPoint presentation format on a 70" HD monitor in a comfortable, clean, and temperature controlled classroom.
Minimum age to enroll is 21. Minimum age to receive certificate is 23 per FAA Part 65 regulations. You will be required to pass the Aircraft Dispatch FAA written exam and FAA practical exam. No other eligibility required.
Reduced attendance for qualified candidates with prior experience.

The PITOT provides ram air input for the Airspeed indicator.
It is a heated surface to avoid icing. If the tube would become blocked the Airspeed will read zero.
